This
Big Band's vast repertoire spans fifty years of great music.
However, they specialise in the sounds of the great dance
bands from the 1940s and 50s, and are fortunate to have many
unique arrangements from the repertoire of such bands as the
Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Ted Heath, Woody Hermann and the Geraldo
Orchestra.
The repertoire covered also
includes numbers by the great American orchestras led by Count
Basie and Duke Ellington. Adding a vocalist singing popular
songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr, Bobby
Darin and Dean Martin expands this diverse selection yet further.
All the tunes performed are famous numbers, many of which
were written for broadcast and some of which have never been
recorded, making this repertoire unique to this band. Requests
are always welcome.
The Big Band is available for
any occasion, but it is particularly suited to larger events
including: - wedding receptions, private parties, corporate
events, university and charity balls, corporate product launches,
jazz festivals, and various fund raising events to name just
