Majestic
Brass has performed for some of the UK's leading businesses
and have built up a fine reputation for its quality of performance,
presentation and professionalism.
Majestic Brass has a wide
repertoire available and due to the unrivalled flexibility
of brass instruments can suite almost any occasion, whether
you require subtle background music, a lively jazz set, famous
sports themes, Christmas carols, an “Oom-Pah”
Band, or a fanfare, Majestic Brass can fit your musical needs
perfectly.
Majestic Brass consists of
5 professional musicians who met whilst studying at The Royal
College of Music (RCM), London. The group formed in 2000 to
perform in RCM brass faculty events and after just one year
together, Majestic Brass won the 2001 RCM Brass ensemble prize.
Majestic Brass has had the
privilege of performing in master classes with Fine Arts Brass
and Canadian Brass and has shared a concert platform with
London Brass. In addition to this the ensemble has also received
coaching from Malcolm Smith and Lindsay Shilling.
Individually, the members
of Majestic Brass are all busy musicians working with many
of the UK’s top orchestras, West End shows, big bands,
and chamber ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra,
Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Brass, the Syd
Lawrence Orchestra, the LSO Brass Quintet, the CBSO Brass
Quintet and English Brass.
Majestic Brass give many lunch-time
concerts and evening recitals throughout the UK & Europe
and, in addition to this, played at the rededication of the
Albert memorial and Royal Albert Hall south steps in May 2001
in the presence of HRH Prince Phillip and has performed at
the Royal Albert Hall on two further occasions.
