We invite you to submit your poems to be featured on The Poetry Vessel Podcast!

Are you a poet looking for a new audience? For these special episodes, we’ll select 1 Featured Poem and 1-2 Poems from “The Mystery Box” (Mystery Box poems will be pulled at random during our episodes) to read aloud as a springboard for poetic discussion (see our FAQ section below for more details). We'll reference your poem to educate listeners on the principles of poetry and to deepen our poetic conversations.

FAQs

  • Currently, we offer free submissions for all poetry. Donations to The Poetry Vessel are completely optional.

    While we aren't a paying market, we're dedicated to helping your work find a new audience through The Poetry Vessel.

  • If your poem is chosen to be featured, we will e-mail you in advance of the episode's air date. During the episode, your poem will be read aloud, accompanied by a creative visual overlay.

    Please see our Terms & Conditions regarding instructions if your poem receives publication after submission.

  • If your poem is selected for The Mystery Box, you’ll receive a secret message (okay, an email) letting you know that your words have been carefully sealed inside the box—where they’ll await their moment of reveal.

    But beware: poems are drawn at random, guided by chance, intuition, and a touch of magic. They may surface in any episode. So keep your eyes and ears open…

  • As The Poetry Vessel is a growing channel, we currently do not send rejection notices at this time. Please also note that due to the nature of our filming schedule, submission periods may be longer than a typical online magazine.

    FEATURED POETS: If your poem is chosen to be featured, we will e-mail you in advance of the episode's air date.

    MYSTERY BOX POETS: If your poem is chosen for the mystery box, we will let you know via e-mail. Keep in mind, mystery box poems are drawn at random. They may surface in any episode. So keep your eyes and ears open!
