What People Are Saying About The Poetry Vessel

What is The Poetry Vessel?

A smiling man with a beard in a red cap and a woman with long hair in a black top and sunglasses on a floral hat, standing side by side on a grassy sports field with other people in the background.

The Poetry Vessel is a for-profit company founded by Malibu Poet Laureate Emeritus, Nathan Hassall, and is supported by his wife, Rachael.

Every contribution—big or small—helps us keep this vessel moving. It fuels the films we make, the gatherings we host, the podcasts we create, and the creative spaces we nurture. We’ve poured our hearts (and savings) into bringing poetry off the page and into everyday life—into ears, hearts, and homes that need it.

Your support helps us cover the real, behind-the-scenes costs: equipment, editing, travel, books, supplies, and all the quiet, unseen hours it takes to build something meaningful. But more than that, your donation sends a signal that poetry still matters—and that art, language, and shared expression are worth investing in.

If our work has sparked something in you—if a line made you pause, a video made you feel, or a voice reminded you of what’s possible—consider leaving something in our digital tip jar.

We’re grateful for this journey, and even more so to walk it alongside you.

With love and many thanks,
Nathan & Rachael
